On these days, it’s all about something effortless, quick and chic and that’s where the shirt-dress comes in. A perfect weekend look, it’s short, comfortable and sweet. Dressing it up is as easy as adding some heels (see test driving the trend photo below) or you can keep things simple with some thong sandals. Stars like Cameron Diaz, Alessandra Ambrosio and Reese Witherspoon all love the appeal of the shirt-dress. Simply put, it’s easiness and simplicity is irresistible.

Test driving the trend – I’ve always kept a shirt-dress in my wardrobe for those casual days. I like it in a neutral color like gray because it stays the same no matter how many times you wash it. Living in Los Angeles, it also works well during the fall months. I just pair it with some funky stockings – either textured or with a fun print like polka dots. I complete my look with a scarf and some booties and I’m good to go.
